COFNII Contributing Membership
Contributing Membership is for manufacturers, awarding organisations and other industry bodies making an active, transparent contribution to better skills, standards and network-infrastructure outcomes.
ANNUAL FEE

The financial and in-kind contribution is agreed transparently against the organisation’s role and proposed participation. Contribution never purchases influence over approval decisions.

A legitimate organisation with objectives compatible with COFNII’s purpose and Code of Conduct.

A clear proposed contribution of expertise, data, facilities, resources, time or funding.

Transparent disclosure of commercial interests and potential conflicts.

Agreement that technical, membership and approval decisions remain independent.

No misleading, anti-competitive or pay-to-endorse use of the relationship.

COFNII checks primary evidence and may contact the issuing or awarding organisation. A CV or attendance certificate is not accepted as vocational proof on its own.

Contributing Membership does not create an approved-installer or approved-training-provider listing. The organisation may be acknowledged on a contributors or partners page with an accurate description of its contribution.
LOGO AND BADGE USE
What the mark means
The Contributing Member mark may identify a current organisational relationship. It must not imply COFNII endorsement of every product, service, qualification or commercial claim, and all joint statements require appropriate approval.

—— RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS
01 Review the contribution agreement, outcomes and responsible contacts annually.
02 Reconfirm conflicts, commercial interests and any material organisational changes.
03 Maintain agreed participation and follow the Code of Conduct and brand rules.
04 Stop using the mark when the contribution agreement or membership ends.
Renewal protects the value of every COFNII mark by checking that the evidence and conduct behind it have not expired.
Is Contributing Membership sponsorship?
It may include financial or in-kind support, but the relationship is governed by a transparent contribution agreement and cannot purchase technical influence or approval.
Will our logo appear on the COFNII website?
It may appear on an appropriate contributors page where the relationship and contribution are described accurately and the necessary logo permission has been provided.
Does a larger contribution provide more votes?
No. Voting eligibility follows the Articles and membership rules, not the value of a contribution.
Can a manufacturer promote its products as COFNII approved?
Not merely because it is a Contributing Member. Any separate product assessment or technical statement would require its own defined process and written permission.

Yes. Awarding organisations can contribute to employer liaison, qualification alignment and sector evidence while retaining their own regulatory and awarding responsibilities.
