COFNII is the Confederation of Fibre Optics and Network Infrastructure Installers. It supports installers and organisations across fibre, structured cabling and the wider network infrastructure sector.

COFNII was established because qualified fibre-optic and network-infrastructure installers had limited industry-wide support and recognition, while clients and employers could find it difficult to distinguish vocationally assessed competence from unverified claims of experience.
No. COFNII brings together fibre-broadband and telecommunications installers with structured-cabling, data-centre, wireless and wider network-infrastructure professionals. Modern networks cross these traditional sector boundaries.

COFNII is a not-for-profit organisation led by volunteers from the industry. All membership income is used to operate and develop COFNII, and any surplus remains within the organisation. It is reinvested in the website, protected member resources, installer recognition, verification tools, events and future apps for installers and members.
